It is aimed at those riders who prefer an ultra modern rim profile - critically without going too wide to cause frame clearance issues! The handling characteristics and strength of modern U rims is superb - even in pretty serious crosswinds - especially when compared to the V-rims of only a few years ago.
At 25mm wide, it is fully optimised for more modern bikes and is ideal for tyres from 25c, 28c right right up to 40c and beyond. Please make sure your frame can take a wider rim if you go for this option! Or contact us if you’re not sure... we do like to help our customers get it right first time.
The 58UC wheelset is ideal for UK roads and descents in all but the hottest weathers. Just thought I’d drop you a line with some feedback on your wheels. I recently purchased a new Giant TCR pro 1 (2019) and it came with giants SLR one carbon wheel set. I rode it for two months before jumping back onto my canyon equipped with your wheels. I could not believe the difference in how much more sprightly your wheels were and immediately swapped them to my new giant. Considering the SLR’s retail and around the same price as your wheels the difference in rolling is ridiculous.👍
I bought my bike from Andy 10 years ago. 1000s of miles later it is still going strong and I love it. So when my old rims became paper thin, there was only one place I was ever going to go to buy replacement wheels.
But these aren't just any old wheels; I've been hitting PB after PB after PB. They hum beautifully and pull me along the flats, they are lighter and quicker up the hills and whistle sweetly in a cross-wind.
