Kinetic-One K1-58/58c Carbon Clincher wheels (alloy braking

INTENDED USE:  This is the new lighter, 58mm deep version of our "Best-selling Multi-functional Road/Tri"/TT carbon wheelset. With its full carbon structure - combined with an alloy reinforced braking track and bladed black aero spokes and Italian Ambrosio sealed hubs as standard. We are very proud of the new 58C.

This wheelset is ideal for Time Trials, Triathlons, and also spot-on for all but the windiest of sportives/road riding and bunch racing. With alloy braking surfaces you don't need special brake pads and braking has a more familiar feel, compared to Full-carbon wheels

Your wheels will be hand built to order here in the UK by Andy Morgan, owner and founder of k1 wheels. Turnaround time is most often 7-11 days. (current build times are shown at checkout).

Offered With Full 2 Year Warranty Plus A 14 Day "No Quibble Returns Policy" - If You're Not In Love With These Wheels The Moment You Get Them Just Send Them Back For A Refund Any Time Within 14 Days Of Receipt.

The K1-58c wheelset is aimed at Triathletes, Roadies and Time Triallists, where aero is king but you don't want to add the weight and the more challenging handling of deeper rims to your bike -  We've also designed them to be a super-tough "investment" wheelset. We believe carbon wheels should be as strong as alloy wheels. (more on this below!)

The 58's are built around our modern "semi U" shaped structural carbon semi-toroidal aero rim. designed to run best with 25c to 40c wide tyres, but will also run 23c tyres fine).  The rim is designed to cut through the air going forward, whilst maintaining a superb lateral integrity to cross-winds across a full range of wind "yaw" angles.

Unlike the vast majority of alu-carbon deep-section aero wheelsets, the K1-58c's are also designed to be super-strong. The inclusion off alloy brake tracks and  hence an alloy cross sectional structure means they are perfect for racing and still strong enough to train on.

In terms of rim width we think we've really hit the sweet spot at 23-24mm wide. We carefully explored all of the many possible widths that aero wheels are being developed in. We developed and continually honed our own testing protocols to this effect - and critically we looked at a whole raft of practical issues too that many rim makers simply overlook. For example frame spacing: Yes its possible to go wider than 23-24mm but at what point do wheels begin to compromise the frame. The last thing you want is to find that your carbon wheels rub your frame the moment you get out of the saddle! 23-24mm wide is in our view the best blend of performance and practical usability in our experience.

PLEASE NOTE: if you have a narrow clearance frame - we can special order in some 20mm rims for you and we do find that's the only solution for users of many brands of bikes (Notably some older Scott's, Pinarello's and Cannondale's for example!)

Beautiful wheels! Understated elegance and added speed. What's not to love!

I spent a lot of time trawling the web looking for a half decent set of wheels that wouldn’t cost the earth. I read many reviews and tossed over in my mind the decision to go with or without ceramic bearings and other such technical details. I finally stumbled across your advertisement whilst looking at used clincher sets and after going to your sight directly commented to your good self about the quality of the available photographs. I took the chance and ordered a pair and eagerly awaited the delivery. On receipt of them I opened the box and I can tell you I wasn’t disappointed the wheels where very easy on the eye and once I had installed the cassette and got them on the bike they looked even better. Having said that I have ridden a good few miles on them now including a couple of TT’s and apart from their good looks they are good, stiff and put the power down where it should be. I found Kinetic-one to be a great run family business that offer advice and solutions which was certainly lacking in some of the other major players that I have dealt with. Thanks guys enjoying the wheels and roll on summer.

After being really impressed with the wheelset (Kinetic-One aero disc) I bought for my winter/cross bike last year. It was a 'no brainer' to choose Kinetic-One again for the upgrades that were needed for the race/summer bike. The K1-58 wheelset is everything I need in an aero wheelset; Strong enough for day to day rides and sportives, light enough for time trials and races, responsive enough for crits, and aero enough to give you that extra push. The wheels spool up to speed quickly with minimal resistance and mentaining it uses little effort. The alloy braking surface (with swisstop pads) is powerful and reasuringly responsive espeicaly in those damp conditions after light rain showers. The handling is superb! Surprisingly for such a deep wheelset it is very predictable with good feedback through the bars and brakes and no road buzz on the hands. You can ride with confidence and ease in all but the windiest of days as this wheelset has the strength to take on all the rider can throw at it. Speaking of strength... the wheels are a bit heavier than most top brands but are light enough to take on any climb you see fit with no rim warping due to the higher spoke count. On the aesthetic side of things... These wheels not only look great (mines are in red/white) but they sound awesome! and command a lot of envious looks from fellow cyclist and passing motorists. Andy and team, you've built one hell of a wheelset! My bike is loving you for it.

I searched carbon wheels on the internet and came across Kinetic-one. I like being different to everyone else and hadn’t come across them before and they are British!! I’ve had 3 rides so far and love! They roll brilliantly and handle well in the wind. There is also a great choice of decal and mine match my boardman perfectly! First Triathlon with them this weekend! Brilliant after service too. Thank you

Just a picture of the 58mm wheels in action on Sunday. Still going silky smooth and helping me to get the odd KOM or two ! Sad I know! 6 months old now I think - not as many miles as I would like during the winter but still look new especially the brake surfaces and I am a big lad that likes to descend hard ! Love the wheels- glad I went for the 58mm depth and sturdy miche Hubs as still true even though I tend to always steer into the potholes ! Especially when on the tri bars ! Just fitted some veloflex masters 25mm for a bit of retro look. Very tight to fit as run small I think compared to the schwalbe ones but first impressions are good. Thanks again for your help and the wheels !
