INTENDED USE: The lightest (26mm deep) version of our best selling "all purpose" 2-WAY FIT" Tubeless & Clincher road/sportive wheelset. Several build options - around the 1350-1425 gram mark! And that’s for a new generation wider tubeless wheelset rated for riders up to 115kg.
Designed and hand built here in the UK with a triple emphasis on maximising aerodynamics, minimising weight, whilst at the same time maximising the strength characteristics demanded by UK roads.
We also offer these wheels in a choice of rim shapes: with a SYMMETRIC rear rim for those wanting to keep weights to a minimum - and an ASYMMETRIC rear option for riders who throw the bike about more on climbing! (Such riders gain more from increasing lateral stiffness than from saving a few extra grams)
So it’s light and tough for the hilliest and roughest of Sportives, Fast-accelerating enough for the busiest of bunch races and aero enough to ensure that you gain every possible watt of drag reduction. Several build options available - some lighter, some tougher and some both!
Beautifully finished (matte black rim with machined silver brake track), very light, superbly strong. Our ultimate rims are made from the latest generation aerospace grade superalloys and are packed full of the latest rim tech.
We can tailor these wheels precisely to your riding needs and your particular characteristics. For example we can build with any spoke configuration from 20/24 right up to 28/32 so even heavy riders can have super-light wheels.
Your wheels will be hand built to order here in the UK by Andy Morgan, owner and founder of k1 wheels. Turnaround time is most often 7-11 days. (current build times are shown at checkout).
Utilising top end PSR and Sapim CX-Ray spokes (the lightest, most aero, and one of the strongest spokes available) allied to top-end materials on rims and hubs means we can get weights down to a very small number - without compromising at all on strength
For example, the standard AEROLIGHT version from 1450 GRAMS a pair. For a 23mm wide super-stiff, all-terrain, tubeless ready wheelset we think that’s pretty impressive.
Features a superb new wider rim profile compatible with both tubeless and clincher tyres. Slightly wider rims are the future of road wheels. They enable seamless tyre interfaces for max aero gain, they allow for wider tyres for shorter 'contact patch' and less rolling resistance. And to top it all - they are tremendously comfortable - easing the lower back in the final miles of those long long rides.
Offered With Full Warranty Plus A 14 Day "No Quibble Returns Policy" - If You're Not In Love With These Wheels The Moment You Get Them Just Send Them Back For A Refund Any Time Within 14 Days Of Receipt.
We think these are the best clincher/tubeless rims available. A bold claim but every time we build a set of these wheels we get very excited. The balance in the rim is fabulous - and from a geeky wheelbuilder point of view they build up to almost perfectly even tension - with tighter tolerances than any other wheelset we have ever built. From a rider perspective a rounder, truer, faster wheel is the simple result. Sounds basic but this is what wheelbuilders strive for. The rims are all pinned, welded with milled sidewalls. So super strong with beautiful attention to detail. It takes many hours to build a wheelset so using top notch components makes that labour a real pleasure!
The 23mm wide rim has fabulous cross-sectional strength whilst maintaining a tiny weight. It represents the very apex of the latest developments in the understanding of how to balance forces and tensions in a wheel. It's a joy to be able to partner these rims with CX-Ray spokes (always the peloton pro's choice) with the beautifully made Bitex hubs, with Japanese ezo bearings.
These wheels are extremely well priced we feel - sitting at about £200 less than our entry level carbon wheels. And that's the point perhaps - They are the very highest end alloy wheel we produce and are just full of top quality parts - and still cost less than the start point for carbon wheels. Ok some people have just got to have carbon ... we get that too .. but these are certainly a superb option to consider with a raft of benefits in every department.
Tubeless can be run at lower pressure than clinchers and this helps provide a more comfortable ride and it also eliminates the possibility of pinch flat punctures (caused from hitting potholes etc.) It's also the case that by filling the tubeless tyre with a sealant you can pretty much avoid all punctures forever more - even if you ride over glass or a nail sticks right through your tyre. Just remove it and the tyre will reseal around it!
We recommend the new Hutchinson Fusion 5 Performance tubeless tyres or for pure speed the Continental GP5000 Tubeless tyres. WE CAN SUPPLY AND FIT TUBELESS TYRES IF YOU REQUIRE.
We can build these for you in any combination you like! Standard builds are 20/24 spokes (for riders up to 95kg) or 24/28 spokes for those up to 110kg. We can even build up to 32 holes if you prefer. Standard build is radial front and 2-cross-by-2 rear. We can build full 2 or 3 cross if you prefer. If you're reading this and have no idea what this all means - please don’t worry - the standard options in the dropdown menus are what suits most people fine!

Bought some of these wheels back in June as a present for my wife . Correspondance with Andy was first class . These wheels look fantastic , and they perform beautifully too . She has managed to get PB''s on nearly every ride this summer ( i keep saying it''s the wheels that deserve the credit and not her !!!) . Can''t recommend these wheels , or Kinetic-One enough .

Truly excellent!!!! I had my doubts when I read the specs on these wheels and then the price, surely to good to be true! As light as any wheelset on the market, but hundreds of pounds less! After quick and sound advice from the Kinetic team I took the plunge....and never regretted it once! The box when it came was so light I thought it was empty! The wheels look fantastic on my Cube bike and fit my wireless bike computer module fine (even with the aero spokes). I improved my average speed by 2 mph on my first ride, even in a strong winter headwind, and the wheels shook off even the harshest of the South Wests potholes, impressive for such a light wheelset! The wheels hold up well in crosswinds, with no great effect on your heading as is the problem with other lighter wheels with bigger rim sizes. Even these strong winter winds do not knock me off my direction of travel! The hubs on both front and back are incredibly smooth, and roll with a great speed! I had to use my own kit to secure the wheels to the frame as those supplied were a little too small but that caused no great problems. I have had a bad puncture which isn't the wheels fault, just a shame I can't use them until it is fixed which is killing me! Overall, great service, superb wheels for road riding, or triathlons. I look forward to Olympic distance triathlons next year using these wheels! I have yet to ride a considerable distance on them but as soon as the puncture is fixed then I will crank up the miles and review separately. If you want lightweight, strong and value for money wheels, get these bad boys!!!!!

My KI wheels have been everything I could have wished for.I am currently training for a European event from Switzerland to London so have done plenty of miles with no problems. Not suprised that they are the best sellers.

I've done well over 1000k on these and they are terrific. I'm quite heavy and really notice that I am pulling better into a headwind and cresting hills with less effort. They seem to want to roll all day. Ride is firm but not harsh. Service and advice from Andy is what swayed me to buy - couldn't have been more helpful.

I can only add to all the good things said about these wheels. Tremendous.

Coming from stock Alexrimms DA22 to these is a massive transformation to a 2009 GT Series Three. Had these wheels just over 6 months now. K1's spin up nice and easy, holding the pace without complaint. Instantly saw average speed jump by 3-4km/h. Rode nicely along national cycling route 23 in the Isle of Wight which is not all tarmac and they stayed true too. They are certainly up to to a daily ride on British roads. Riden with Michelin Pro3s with Schwable light tubes. Tricky to get on/off the wheel following 2 flats but that is down to the tyre. About to try Conti GP4000s with Conti Race 28 Light tubes. Seem to be a lot easier to get on and off. Highly recommend these wheels. Excellent communication and discussion with Andy regarding other wheelsets in similar price brackets. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair of these for race only.

I would give my new wheels a six if I could! They are quite simply the best road wheels I have ridden. I previously had 50mm full carbon wheels on my Mekk which I struggled to get on with. They always felt unstable especially when out of the saddle giving it loads and we're difficult to keep up to speed. Well, it is the complete opposite with the K1's, I can now explode up hills with less effort and can maintain better speeds over longer distances. I have beaten most of my best times on Strava and by a long way on some and I'm nowhere near as fit as I can be due to just coming back from a broken collarbone. A lot of that is down to the wheels. They are also lighter than my carbon wheelset and quieter! This is my second pair of Kinetic wheels and probably won't be my last. They are just so well made, extremely durable and look fantastic. Well done Andy and the team, keep up the good work Clint

Have been on the lookout for a wheel upgrade to finish off my Wilier GTRSL, After some excellent advice from Andy I was pointed towards the K-1 SL’s. Finally had a weather window to try them on the Club run this morning, couldn’t be happier 😀.Smooth , fast & quiet, Perfect for Cornwall’s short steep rolling terrain.Picked up a couple of bonus climbing PR’s 👍(Nothing to do with the tail wind)Many thanks Andy for a top quality product

I must admit i bought them on looks - but so releived that when i used them they were a cracking set of wheels too. Would have felt a bit of a lemon otherwise. Keep on rocking and rolling!

The new Alloys are great. Did 120 miles Over 5000ft climbing Av 18.5 Last Sunday all went well , nice to have ally braking again, running them at 80 psi may drop that , as a tad harsher ride than my 55 carbons 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
